About my work.
With my pictures I do not pretend to explain anything about me. There are self-portraits. I use my body as a support of my musings about society. I’m not interested individuals in particular. No one should believe so important to be the center of something. These attitudes can create certain kinds of monsters. My accounts not want to adjust to individuals but to society.
In my photos I try to avoid dramatic gestures and sentimentality that promote any kind of personal relationship with those who observe the images.
The central issue of my photographic series is the relationship established between individuals and institutions (family, education, political parties, religion …). Also pay attention to the contradiction that is created when we try to keep our individuality while we deal with our condition as social beings.
I consider photography a blunt tool, sometimes for just causes, some of the pleasant or unpleasant lie, and almost always as a provider of nostalgia.
