The paintings of Alicia Leal is based on Christian and syncretic popular- Cuban iconography, the domestic environment with decorated spaces and anthropological evidences.
Marked by an intense eroticism that feeds on nature and polymorphous presence of desire, as well as the daily record of your relationship with various individuals, families, significant events and certain elements of culture that discovers and sees within his imaginary.
The woman is part of the center of existential conflict, where appearances are merely a pretext to deepen and broaden the generic sense of artistic perception; adding new nuances into the realm of experience but without estrangement, revealing psychic feelings from a language with which tears the surface.
